Britain’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2026: South-East winners

The South East’s food scene has plenty to shout about in this year’s Good Food Guide 100 Best Local Restaurants, celebrating everything from unfussy bistros and intimate dining rooms to restaurants taking inspiration from kitchens around the world.

Among those making the cut, last year’s winner Lucky Lychee ranks high (no11) bringing Malaysian flavours to Winchester, while Bauji in Worthing puts Rajasthani home cooking front and centre. In Brighton, Namo takes a modern approach to Thai cooking, with a menu built around carefully considered flavours and fresh ingredients.
