Good Food Guide's Best British Pubs campaign returns for 2026, in partnership with Timothy Taylor's Landlord and supported by Square.
From 3-13 August 2026, we'll be asking the public to nominate the pubs they love best – proper pubs serving excellent seasonal cooking, well-kept real ales and genuine community spirit.

Once nominations open, encourage your customers to nominate you via your website, emails and social media. We've also created a QR code linking straight to the nomination form – add it to bills, till receipts and other printed materials – view and download the assets here.
The nomination form will be live at https://www.thegoodfoodguide.co.uk/best-of/best-pubs/nominations from 3–13 August 2026.
Eligibility
Prime contenders for Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs list will be:
- Beacons of brilliant cooking that maintain the spirit of a pub
- Places where drinkers are as warmly welcomed as diners
- Where customers have room to relax over real ales, a carefully compiled wine list and homemade bar snacks
- Where menus are regularly changing, following the seasons and making use of high quality local suppliers
The final list of 100 Best Pubs will be selected by editors of the Guide in consultation with our team of regional inspectors.

Nomination cards
Business cards which pubs can have professionally printed or can order from our shop here. The cards have a QR code which links directly to the nomination form. We recommend displaying these on tables or leaving with receipts to encourage nominations.
Social media assets
Artwork which you can post on your social media channels to encourage nominations. We have provided a logo post, along with an logo overlay you can layer on to your own photography.

FAQs
Q: How are nominations verified?
Nominations are carefully audited by Good Food Guide team before being passed to the editors for consideration. Incomplete submissions and invalid names will be removed and multiple nominations for the same pub from the same individual will not be valid.
Q: If I get nominations for Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs will I be included in Good Food Guide?
Not necessarily. Receiving nominations does not guarantee inclusion in the Guide. However, the winners must be of Good Food Guide standard and therefore will be included in the Guide.
