The Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs 2025

We’re on the hunt for Britain's 100 Best Pubs.

In its inaugural year, and in partnership with Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, we’re delighted to announce our campaign to celebrate the best of British pubs.   

From Tuesday 26th August, we will be calling on the public to nominate their favourite proper pubs that serve excellent seasonal cooking as well as a healthy dose of community spirit, beers and a beautifully conditioned selection of real ales. 

As well as earning a coveted place on the list, the eligible pub with the most nominations from the public will be awarded the Readers’ Choice Award.  

If you think you should be on the list, register your pub now.  

We encourage you to direct diners towards the nomination form from 26th August 2025 via your website, emails and social media. We have also provided a QR code to be added to the bill, till receipts and other printed materials, which will direct diners to the nomination form. 

Once the campaign is live, you will find the nomination form here, as well as it being emailed to you directly if you have completed the form. 

Nominations will be open from 26th August to 9th September.

Eligibility 

Prime contenders for The Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Pubs list will be: 

  • Beacons of brilliant cooking that maintain the spirit of a pub  
  • Places where drinkers are as warmly welcomed as diners 
  • Where customers have room to relax over real ales, a carefully compiled wine list and homemade bar snacks 
  • Where menus are regularly changing, following the seasons and making use of high quality local suppliers.  

The final list of 100 Best Pubs will be selected by editors of the Guide in consultation with inspectors.

FAQS  

Q: How are nominations verified? 
Nominations are carefully audited by The Good Food Guide team before being passed to the editors for consideration. Incomplete submissions and invalid names will be removed and multiple nominations for the same restaurant from the same individual will not be valid. 

Q: If I get nominations for The Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs will I be included in The Good Food Guide? 
Not necessarily. Receiving nominations does not guarantee inclusion in the Guide. However, the winners must be of Good Food Guide standard and therefore will be included in the Guide.
