Lockdown 3.0

Hermitage Road, Hertfordshire

This week’s news of the latest nationwide lockdown has confirmed that, once again, we are in this for the long haul. Now, more than ever, it’s hugely important we keep supporting restaurants.

England will be in lockdown until mid-February at the earliest and for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland until early February, meaning all hospitality venues are forced to remain closed apart from offering takeaway for collection or delivery.

Over the past nine months, venues have adapted to the continually changing rules, from rearranging tables to accommodate social distancing to changing their service times to work around curfews, and of course, during closures pivoting to offer takeaway, delivery and cook-at-home meal kits. It’s been a rollercoaster, and the ride is not set to end anytime soon, but here at The Good Food Guide we will do all we can to support restaurants along the way.

The Good Food Guide website reviews will continue to be free to view for the coming months with more updates on restaurants offering delivery, takeaway and meal kits. Use the search bar above to find venues in your local area, or see this list of nationwide options.

We’ve been championing the UK’s best restaurants for 70 years. Please help us to do so for decades to come by supporting these wonderful businesses, many of which are fighting for survival right now. And as we said back in May, ‘we’ll meet (to eat) again’ one day, we’re sure.
