'Mel and Martin Board have transformed what was a rundown village boozer into a food-driven oasis. They mainly patronise local suppliers and concentrate on seasonal ingredients. Their food is always attractively presented but, most importantly, flavours are individual and strong. Service is adept, attentive and friendly.'
