Come for leaf teas poured into pretty bone-china cups, choosing from a list that scopes the world to find oolongs, chais, Chinese pu-erh and even ‘builders’, with its extra spoonful. Homemade quiches, soups and sandwiches satisfy lunchtime needs, while handsome cakes are displayed on a china-filled dresser, as tea room tradition dictates.
