Napoli Centro
South Yorkshire, Sheffield - Italian - Pizzeria
Paraphernalia relating to footballer Diego Maradona (Naples' adopted son) plasters the walls of this pizza spot, adding an extra splash of authenticity to the place. Napoli Centro consistently nails that thin but structurally sound sourdough base, while the puffy, charred crusts could even be the main event when dunked into one of the excellent 'crust dippers'. Classic toppings are carefully sourced (organic tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, Cetara anchovies), and there are flavour combinations that push the boundaries gently. Aside from the pizzas, a must-order is fritattina cacio e pepe (densely packed, breadcrumbed fritters of bucatini pasta, pecorino and béchamel), and the Nutella tiramisu is special. Drink classic Italian cocktails, small-producer Italian wines or craft beers.

Incredible pizza of course! But also the atmosphere... it feels like stepping directly into Naples. The decor, the music, the Maradona tributes.
