Unashamedly embedded in St Leonards' community of artists and creatives, Jerome Odibi’s colourful local eatery (note the art-splashed oil drums at the entrance) is all about big-hearted neighbourly vibes and generous down-home cooking. The menu is a harmonious mix of West African favourites (palm nut soup, spicy spinach with boiled yam, jollof rice) with home-style Caribbean classics (Jamaican patties, jerk chicken, oxtail curry), all rounded off with desserts such as sweet fried dumplings, plantain pudding or coconut cake with ice cream. To drink? A can of Red Stripe or Guinness imported from Nigeria for authenticity.
