London, Highbury - Restaurant
A Roman osteria for the ages
That actor and Highbury local Theo James has a hand in this bijou take on a Roman osteria is beside the point; its true star is Milanese Bengali head chef Naz Hassan whose instinctive talent and obsessive attention to detail defies the apparent simplicity on the plate. Given the neighbourhood proportions and ironclad local reputation, bookings are hard to come by – though one table is always held back for walk-ins. Don’t miss the bucatini all’amatriciana or the tiramisu.

It’s a very cute intimate candle lit dinner type of restaurant, with amazing food, pretty interior, friendly staff and a bustling fun but welcoming vibe!!

Cosy neighbourhood vibes with an elegant, upscale feel; friendly staff who are genuinely pleased to see you; and outstanding comfort food that punches well above its weight. You can eat really well and enjoy a freezer martini to start and a bottle of wine between you and walk away with a £100 bill, which is the rarest of things in London, and a key reason why this place is packed to the rafters every night with locals. A truly excellent addition to the area.
