Little Yang Sing

The Yang Sing name is legendary in history of Chinese restaurants in Manchester. As the 'little sister' offshoot of the once-celebrated original, this colourfully refurbished basement is still going strong after more than 20 years, and continues to serve a reliable repertoire of traditional, 'family-favourite' Cantonese dishes. There’s a lengthy choice of dim sum ranging from steamed har gau dumplings to paper-wrapped prawns and deep-fried custard buns, alongside creditable versions of classics such as sweet-and-sour pork, steamed sea bass with ginger and spring onion, and BBQ roast duck in fresh orange sauce. Portions are super-generous. Service is generally refined and courteous, though it can wobble at peak times.
