'A happy place, even when we’re queueing out the door to get at the goodies,’ says a fan of this family-run bakery. Regulars keep returning, not just for the ‘wonderful artisan bread’ – daily baked sourdough, baguettes, granary and weekend specials such as focaccia, brioche and walnut fruit loaf – but also for the exemplary sweet and savoury pastries. There are croissants, cinnamon buns, 'kruffins' and lemon drizzle cake, plus croque monsieur and various cheese/ham twists for lunch. Excellent Origin coffee too. Check the website to order in advance from the online shop.
