Always lively with chatter, Folk is a go-to brunch, lunch and takeaway spot on the edge of Bury St Edmunds. Drop in for a coffee and pastry, a slice of malt loaf from superlative local bakery, Woosters, or linger over the wider menu of delicious things made on site: a bowl of classic French onion soup with a cheesy croûton or butter-softened mushrooms and spinach heaped generously on toast, perhaps, or an open beef sandwich with chimichurri mayo and rocket. Fresh-made smoothies, the carrot loaf cake, and the raspberry and white chocolate blondies also come highly recommended. Handy for food shopping too.
