Crocadon Courtyard

A stone’s throw across the gravel courtyard from its more formal sister restaurant, this modest café and bakery (with extensive seating outside) lives by the same soil-centric, farm-to-fork ethos with artisan baked goods and modest, but exceptional light meals and snacks. Come for a generous breakfast bun with melt-in-the-mouth confit pork-belly bacon, fried egg and a splash of hot sauce (on request), or a fulsome garden quiche with Florence onion, Godminster cheese and fresh herbs. There are exquisitely crafted pastries, too, including perfectly laminated croissants and sweet, sticky, pull-apart 'monkey bread' with blackcurrant crème fraîche and mint, as well as excellent coffee, organic soft drinks and Crocadon’s divine sourdough bread – available to take home.
