A purveyor of layered flavours, Bread & Meat takes itself seriously (but not too much). Their menu features top-tier slow-cooked meats and vegetables, which you can have stuffed in ciabatta, served with Québécois truck stop-style poutine, or as a ‘bowl’ with potato wedges and slaw. The signature porchetta sandwich, accompanied by crackling and salsa verde, is a mainstay, as is their interpretation of a Philly cheese steak, while other sandwiches are a revolving roster of specials: Korean BBQ-style chicken or a NY-style Reuben, say. The condiments – gravy, mayo, etc – are made from scratch.
