Steven and Stephanie Dray have substantially extended and diversified their likeable tapas spot on the Kent coast over the last few years. Originally conceived as a little slice of Barcelona in Broadstairs, it now operates as a Spanish deli by day and a restaurant by night; it also sells tapas ‘to go’ (order in-store or from the website) and has an online shop. The kitchen handles lots of classic ideas from different regions, so nibble on some pan con tomate while choosing three items from the excellent-value ‘table sharing menu’. Alternatively, graze through the regular line-up, perhaps kicking off with boquerones, jamón croquetas or patatas bravas before dipping into more creative ideas such as medjool dates stuffed with soft goat's cheese, honey and almonds, salt cod fritters with green aïoli or spicy chicken with Spanish lentils, garlic and coriander.  Finish with churros, Santiago cake or regional cheeses served on an olive-wood board.
