Casamia changes direction
Published 10 November 2021

If eating in an all-black room with pumping music is not your idea of a good time, then this Good Food Guide high-flyer is not for you. Lockdown gave Peter Sanchez-Iglesias a unique opportunity to design a different kind of experience, one far removed from traditional dining. He’s bought in chef Zak Hitchman from Ynyshir to run the show: a £180 multi-course tasting menu of Asian/Japanese-influenced food, part of a fast-paced four-hour extravaganza that celebrates sound, smell and film too. ‘A sensational experience’ says our Bristol spy. In the last edition of The Good Food Guide, Casamia scored of 9/10 and was listed among the top ten restaurants in the country. For those of you in London, Peter Sanchez Iglesias is currently overseeing Decimo at the Standard Hotel.
