Expect anything from generous platters of shakshuka with spicy Greek yoghurt, Yorkshire buck rarebit or eggs Benedict to a creamy roast pumpkin and goat’s cheese risotto or a venison burger with smoked Cheddar, plum and blackberry ketchup and chunky, skin-on chips. The short, fairly priced wine list includes 10 by the glass. Note that the restaurant is reached via some high steps and cobbles, and there are steep stairs from a lounge/bar area to the two dining spaces.
