After a successful series of supper clubs and events, the chef Tunde Abifarin has announced his modern, 'pan-African' pop-up concept Farin Road will take up permanent residence at the independent Tani Modi cafe in Edinburgh next month.

Our Good Food Guide inspectors are a talented crew, stationed across Britain from the Highlands to Hereford, sending word on the most promising places to eat. Regardless of age, their discerning eye and sharpness of appetite is universal. A walk from Sloane Square to Pimlico Road through the back streets of Belgravia offers plenty of indulgent window-shopping, from posh shops to multimillion-pound townhouses. But the destination is our latest first look at Wildflowers, the new venue from chef Aaron Potter (formerly at Elystan Street.)

The Native narrative advocated by Ivan Tisdall-Downes – which is basically eat the view – has been promoted by other chefs, but few restaurants can match food and setting more harmoniously than this out-of-the-way restaurant (with a couple of rooms), on the Hereford-Worcestershire border. As a whole it breathes ‘nature’ and after almost a decade at various sites in London, feels like a homecoming for Tisdall-Downes and his business partner Imogen Davis.
