New opening - Outlaw’s Guesthouse, Cornwall

Outlaw's Guesthouse, Cornwall

Definitely one to put in the diary later in the year. Nathan and Rachel Outlaw have bought the Stargazy Hotel directly across the road from Outlaw’s New Road. The Good Food Guide couldn’t be more delighted. We gave up on finding accommodation in Port Isaac shortly after the Outlaws moved their top-scoring restaurant to the fishing village in 2015 – we were unable to compete with the Doc Martin fan club.

Builders, plumbers and fitters are currently on site and it is hoped that Outlaw’s Guesthouse will be up and running by April, May at the very latest. The chef tells us it will open with nine rooms and offer B&B only. As the name suggests, it’s a family affair with Rachel on reception and Nathan as breakfast chef - he’s ‘actually very excited about that.’

For the time being bookings will be linked to eating in both restaurants – Outlaw's New Road and Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen – via a two-night package. Keep an eye on the website for further details.
