Vincent Gerbeau and his team – including Head Chef David Philpott and General Manager Fabrice Petat – pride themselves on their very high standard of personal service. The team members have consolidated their wealth of experience from roles alongside chefs such as Gary Rhodes, John Burton Race and Marco Pierre White, to create an exceptional dining experience.

French flavours

Retro Bistrot specialises in simple, well-executed dishes using the very finest ingredients while maintaining affordable prices.
The cooking is bold and flavoursome, with classic dishes such as snails with garlic butter or moules provençal packing a particularly Gallic punch. Desserts such as vanilla crème brûlée or chocolate brownie are a treat, and continue the theme of unfussy, accomplished cuisine.
