This year saw Ealing eatery Charlotte's Place crowned winner of our hotly contested title for Readers' Restaurant of the Year, London.
A picture of cosy, neighbourly generosity, it’s the approachable staff that helped earn Charlotte’s Place its nominations by keeping the mood of this neighbourhood gem buoyant and energetic.
Star turns are many and varied, from offbeat crispy pig cheeks with braised pig’s head and sauce gribiche, to a text-book chateaubriand. The restaurant strives to use seasonal produce in head chef Greg Martin’s ‘wonderfully composed’ menus.
With dishes changing by the month, we can’t wait for the next instalment.
Elizabeth Carter says: ‘The kitchen runs with the seasons and pleases with dependable cooking, backed up with very friendly service.'
