Restaurant awards

Every year The Good Food Guide runs two award schemes. The first is The Good Food Guide Readers' Restaurant of the Year Award, celebrating great food and good service at restaurants, pubs and cafés throughout the UK. Members of the public are invited to nominate their favourite independent dining establishments in their local area by submitting a Good Food Guide postcard or nominating online.

The nomination period for the The Good Food Guide Readers's Restaurant of the Year Awards 2014 closed on 14th April 2013.

10 regional award winners are announced in May 2013 who will all go on to feature in The Good Food Guide 2014. The overall winner of the Readers’ Restaurant of the Year Award is chosen by a panel of experts, led by the editors of The Good Food Guide. The overall winner will be announced at an award ceremony in June 2013.

The Good Food Guide also presents a number of Editors' Awards, which are revealed on publication. These awards are conferred on restaurants and industry professionals who have particularly impressed The Good Food Guide editors in any given year. This year we were delighted to announce Clare Smyth from Restaurant Gordon Ramsay as our Chef of the Year.
